Working with a local principal contractor, we were tasked with delivering a structural solution that
not only met the functional requirements but also contributed to the aesthetic appeal of the
building.
The Project
The Lighthouse Church project was particularly challenging due to its central location in Heswall, which required meticulous planning and execution. Our team was responsible for the entire process,
from connection design through to fabrication and installation, ensuring that each component met the specific needs of the project. A key aspect of our work included the steelwork which featured specially made tapered rafters, these were designed to create a striking visual effect while providing the necessary structural support.
The tapered rafters were fully welded, ensuring a seamless and sturdy connection that supports the church’s exposed steel framework. The successful completion of the steel frame for the Lighthouse Church in Heswall is a testament to T Sullivan Engineering’s expertise in handling complex structural projects.
